Post/Mail boxes are at the corner of Otago Street opposite the 24hr Co-op and 150m West of the Co-op on the same side. There is a box in a wall opposite Park Road Pharmacy and a pillar box beside the icafe on Great Western Road towards St. George's Cross.
Hillhead Post Office is open 7 days (Sun: 10am-2pm) and is two blocks from Byres Road
- approx 500m West of Kelvinbridge Subway.
St George's Cross PO is on Maryhill Road 200m from the St.George's X Subway (walk away from the motorway)
Kelvinbridge Subway has an escalator and stairs down from the bridge (opposite Lansdowne Church) (A full circuit on the underground railway takes 23 minutes and cost £1.20)This also leads down to the River Kelvin walkway where you can walk / cycle North West to Dawsholm Park almost 3 miles to Bearsden next to the University of Glasgow's Garscube Estate & Vet School passing through the Kelvin Gorge, Glasgow Botanic Gardens, Kelvinside, Wyndford and Maryhill. There is an excellent shared-use cycle path often used by commuters, joggers and dog walkers.
Heading South on the Kelvin Walkway there are stairs up to Gibson Street and the University or the path will take you under Gibson Street bridge and into Kelvingrove Park, with easy access to the centre of town and the River Clyde, the nearby Kelvinhall International Sports Arena, The Transport Museum and Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum.
